Catalonia, a Leader in Virtual Production

Catalonia is establishing itself as a leader in virtual production thanks to a strong commitment to technological innovation, technical and creative talent, and the development of cutting-edge infrastructures. The Catalan ecosystem stands out for its flexibility, offering studios of various sizes and specializations to meet the needs of all types of productions. Additionally, Catalonia boasts an extensive network of companies, suppliers, and educational institutions already working with these technologies, facilitating the attraction of both local and international productions.

In this context, the Catalan Audiovisual Cluster is launching Catalonia, Virtual Studio, a three-episode video podcast supported by ICEC (Catalan Institute of Cultural Enterprises) and in collaboration with ISE (Integrated Systems Europe). Its goal is to bring virtual production closer to the audiovisual sector and the general public while showcasing Catalonia’s leadership in this field. Through discussions with experts and industry professionals, the podcast explores the challenges and opportunities this technology offers companies, such as reducing production costs and time.
